Hi Guys, I need a recipe for a cereal/breakfast bar that is low in sugar. I am not looking for a granola bar recipe, more like a nutrigrain type deal, but with fresh ingredients and low in sugar. All of the “healthy” options in the grocery store are LOADED with the stuff. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Ingredients

    * 1 cup rolled oat
    * 1 cup Rice Krispies
    * 2/3 cup chopped apricot
    * 3 tablespoons roasted sunflower seeds (I didn’t bother toasting them)
    * 1/4 cup toasted coconut (I don’t toast it)
    * 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
    * 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    * 3 tablespoons honey
    * 2 tablespoons peanut butter
    * 1 tablespoon vanilla

    Directions

    1.

    Melt oil, honey, peanut butter in microwave just until easy to mix up, watch carefuly, probably 20 seconds or so.
    2.

    Mix in vanilla.
    3.

    Mix all ingredients together and press down well into 8″ square pan sprayed with pam.
    4.

    Make sure you press down firmly.
    5.

    Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
    6.

    Let cool before serving.
