runners diet?
pianoplaya88 asked:
I’m doing track and field for school (mostly field events) and i was wondering if there were any foods that i could eat that would help me maintain a fit body. i love sweets (mostly gum), and i eat a lot of chips and chewy bars. i find it really hard for me to quit eating those things cold turkey, so i am looking for suggestions on how to substitute those things for healthier ones…maybe some easy recipes for lunch/dinner that are healthy too? And if there are any essential foods that i could have to snack on (i don’t like protien bars…very picky about how they taste) before or after track, and that i could have at breakfast or lunch…those would reallllllllly help me. i dont really have that much time in the morning (like five minutes before i have to get to school) so i’m looking for something that i could grab in the morning and eat on the way to school. thanks!
i’m not trying to lose weight or anything…i’m already fit but i’m trying to stay that way by finding healthier ways to eat.

yeah but you have to run alot!!!!!!
Try cutting fast foods.
Have a wonderful day! =) =)
I’m in track too, 7th grade, and before running, you should eat something high carb, for me a cereal bar, and after, I drink a chocolate soy (you could use dairy) milk and a granola bar. fruits are also high carb, fo the before and after. Substitute the chips and cookies with 100 Calorie Packs. Maybe rice cakes. Worked for me. Good Luck. ; )
since you love chips something great to do is slice is an apple, and place them on a tray, bake it in the oven on 350 degrees for about 10 minutes, and then you’ll have apple chips. NO SODIUM and about more than half less the calories.
Great protein bars are go lean crunch, they are packed with fiber which will be great to maintain a fit body and keep energy during track and feild.
Have a good season with your sport! =]]
