Lean meats and veg. Fruit as snacks, no carbs after 6. Drink green tea instead of normal, coffee only in a morning. Eat 3 small meals and three snacks.

  5. We do a lot of stir-fries.
A minimum of olive oil in which to stir fry chicken ****** or a vegetarian option, with any of a selection of prepared stir-fry fresh veges from the supermarket.
Serve on noodles or with rice.
Very quick and easy – very filling – not very fattening.

Eat your normal meal during breakfast and lunch. Eat less in your dinner. Assuming that you have a daily exercise to burn what you have eaten during the day.

If you want, try “Ensure” in the evening as your meal replacement.

Baked beans on toast are a good nourishing meal. They have fibre and protein, all in a tin and are very cheap to buy.

Home made soup is a great cheap meal. You don’t need to buy the best veg, you can get the cheaper ones from the market, especially if you haggle.

Peel and chop your veg, put in a large pan, add water to cover, any herbs you have kicking around, season. Boil until the veg is soft. Then you can either keep the chunky veg soup or blend to a smooth puree.

You then have a good nourishing meal. You can make this in bulk and freeze.
