Hi I’m looking for some creative breakfast ideas for my 2 1/2 yr old. I’m not so good at coming up with good recipes. She loves pancakes and fruit smoothies in the mornings (blueberries, strawberries and bananas), she doesnt do cereal with milk or bagels very well….any other healthy ideas or options I can give her for breakfast?

Whatever I am having, my daughter wants a bite of.

    Here’s what we eat…

Waffles, pancakes, yogurt, scrambled eggs, toast, and oatmeal. Sometimes she’ll just have a bowl of Cheerios. She used to be a bit messy ( buy a good bib), but now she’s almost three and can “eat without getting her hands dirty” (as she says).

pigs in blankets are always good, wrap a sausage link or vienna sausage in a biscuit & bake, can also add some cheese inside, sometimes my very grown up children like that even now, sometimes for supper with mac & cheese

  5. I do fruit, oatmeal, waffles, yogurt, turkey cubes, eggs, anything that I would eat, I give to my son.

Right now my daughter is really into Peanut Butter toast, oatmeal with brown sugar and bananas, and some days she’ll eat scrambled eggs. We also have Disney Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cereal that she loves but I **** because it’s like tiny rice crispies and it makes a mess and gets stuck to everything like sharp little razors. When that box is gone I’m never buying it again! (Sorry, had to vent a little.)

My kids love “Toad in a hole” ………..this is how you make it. It’s so easy.
    1. Cut the center out of a piece of bread.
    2. place it in a pan with a little butter.
    3. ***** an egg into the hole of the bread
    4. cook well on both sides.
    5. If you want you can place the cut out piece back on top, this is what gives the name “toad in a hole”.

My kids also love french toast, cut into triangles. I give them a little warmed up jelly, add a tbsp. of h20 to make a syrup, on the side for dipping.
Oatmeal is also a favorite, get the plain and add your own sugar or honey. I make it pretty thick for my 2 year old, so it’s not as messy.
I think if you find new ways to present old favorites, your kids will look forward to every meal.
    Good Luck.
