My son is almost 11 months old. And is pretty much on all table food. He will eat pretty much anything you offer him. He loves is his veggies, meats, and fruits. My ? is. What are some easy meal ideas. I am in the middle of packing because we are going to be moving in a few months. And I don’t want to get him anymore baby food. BUT I want him to have healthy meals. He gets 2 snacks a day. So I am not worried about that. He gets dinner with us. And normally for breakfast he either has a fruit oatmeal or grits with scrambled egg. He loves his food. So any quick easy meal ideas would be AWSOME…I want healthy but doesn’t take too long…lunch lately is some popcorn chicken either baked or done in the microwave and fruit or veggie…but I don’t want to be doing the same thing every day…So suggestions please…..
Like for dinner tonight I am making a simple bean and chicken soup with white rice. Not 5 min rice either real rice. He will have about a cup all together and his bottle. He loves his food.
he can feed himself bite size finger foods. for his snacks he either gets a biter biscuit or cheerios and his sippy with juice/water…He can chew very well….

Ok, when I was very young, I developed an unhealthy relationship with food. Meaning I LOVED it, and could never get enough. On top of that I have always been a picky eater, and loved ice cream and fast food. So naturally that caught up with me and I got fat. I didn’t even realize I was. I looked in the mirror and never saw a fat person, just not a thin one. But it showed in all of my pictures, and I became VERY self-conscious. I had always been a very out going person, and then I went through my fat stage, where I cried when I ate food, but I still couldn’t stop. This was all when I was in 5th grade. Thankfully, the summer after, I went on a diet, and lost 20 lbs all by myself! I felt happier, healthier, but I still wasn’t thin…..and my self esteem was shot, and I became very shy around new people.
I went back to eating like a fairly normal person, and as I grew taller I gained that weight with me, but I still am not thin.
And the worst part, is that I was surrounded by people who were skinnier then me. All my friends are tall and naturally thin. (Like a model.) and my brother is always making fun of me. So I played around with diets, eating healthier, and exercising, but I always went back to normal.
Then one day I liked this guy. And I knew he wouldn’t like me. I wasn’t pretty enough, or skinny enough for him. And so when I was around him I was always nervous, and VERY self conscious. And one day he called me ugly. He was sarcastic, and joking, I knew, but it hurt…and I decided that I would impress him, and all my skinny friends, so I started eating less and less.

Yesterday, this is what I ate:
morgunmatur: Special K 90 cal. bar
Hádegismatur: PB & J French Toast Sand. (Rachael Ray Recipe)
Snarl: Handful of Trail Mix

and that is it, and I have been eating like that for about a month now…and everyday its easier to eat less, and now I’m getting worried I have a problem. I never crave food anymore (unless it’s just sitting there right infront of me) and every time I eat something, all I think about is how fat I am….

I think about anorexia everyday…I feel worried by not eating, but I feel terrible when I do…

I know I’m a normal weight, I checked my BMI og I’m healthy…I’m 5′2”-5′3” and 112-115 lbs….and I am 13 years old…

First – thanks for looking and NO smoothie recipes please!

OK, I’m very very good about giving my pre-schooler balanced breakfasts, but I’m big on variety. I’ve accomplished my lunchbox-enhancement mission, so now it’s time for breakfast!

I need good, heilbrigður “non-standard” breakfasts that can be made in 10-15 minutes. Now, I don’t mean hummus and salsa! How about some standard stuff – my daughter eats well, but she’s going through a picky phase. For fruits, she only eats apples “willingly” – I make her eat a variety of fruits – after all, I am The Mom LOL – so what can you offer me that can meet 2 requirements (along with the time, of course):

1. Uses fairly standard ingredients – but no beef – Jógúrt, Korn, Egg, canadian Bacon, bacon, bread, e-muffins, tortillas, apples, bananas, grapes etc…

2. has the ability for me to “sneak” other foods in (like plums or peaches) without her identifying that’s what they are – and smoothies don’t count!
OH YEAH! No frozen food stuff. I keep an eye on sodium.

it feels like their stalking me or something.

it honestly takes a lot of incredible restraint to not become aggressive or threatening and say through gritted teeth

I have zebra finches and the box of grit says put a tablespoon in a separate dish. As far as I know they never touch it. I’ve also tried mixing it with their food but it’s always left when the food is gone. They seem fine and healthy so do they really need grit?
