Please give me idea for breakfast recipes for 9 month old baby?
Kykirei asked:
My baby used to like his breakfast I usually make him oatmeal, cherrios, or porrigde cereal mix with yogurt, fresh banana or papaya but not with other fruits such as any kind of berries, apple, he always reject them and also as we live in Tokyo there very limited fruits selection here so I have no choice what should I feed him to make variation of his breakfast…anyway, since last week seems he gets bored with his breakfast, he often try to vomit the food out and refuses to eat, I kinda like giving up and don’t want to force him to eat…is anyone out there can give me idea what is other healthy breakfast recipes that good for my baby?
My baby still has no teeth yet that’s way I have no idea what is safe to feed him though, Tokyo has peaches but it only when the season come like once a year not sure when (???) fruit selection here only ; banana, avocado, local apples, mangoes, oranges, kiwies, grapes, papaya & berries that’s all…I think waffles is a good idea as it soft!
Thanks everyone for giving me quick answers…I will definitely try your recipes…oh this site is really help!!! so happy!!!!

Try something simple like scrambled eggs and toast. or pancakes or french toast. My children loved that at 9 months.
rice cereal, combo of babyfood and a special baby rice is best. try wheaties in a little container with little animals or even heaven forbid animal cracker are a great treat too.
it is common for babies to spit up food, always.
My son (now 11 months old) loves to eat Cottage cheese and fruit. Be it banana, peaches or his favorite is cottage cheese mixed with avocado
how about sandwiches or something? you dont necissarily need to feed him breakfast food.
have you tried eggs? how about scrambled eggs with some meat or cheese in it?
toast? waffles? if hes 9 months, he can eat anything really, just in little pieces.
nothing with WHEAT, berries, honey, peanuts. Those are allergens!! Could be the cause of him throwing up (cheerios)
Why not just baby food?
how about pancakes, made small and/or scrambled eggs.
Just remember keep it simple and keep in mind teeth how many does the baby have and how well can he/she chew?
Other wise that age they can eat just about anything. My daughter ate what ever we ate as long as she could chew it.
What about peaches and cream of wheat ? I don’t know if Tokyo has peaches available or not but my daughter love that with toast . Good luck

I would not give your baby honey he is to young.
How ever he is old enough for other things and just take it slow like you did when you tried him/her on hew stuff.
I have a few baby recipes that I use:
Banana Pancakes
Slice bananas thinly
Coat with pancake batter
Lightly fry in pan until golden brown
Serve as Baby Finger Foods for snack or at breakfast time
and
Baby Cereal Pancakes
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup baby barley cereal (or other baby cereal)
1 cup formula (or another liquid such as milk)
1/2 cup mashed banana (or fruit of your choice)
1 tbsp melted margarine or butter (unsalted type)
3 EGG YOLKS
1/2 cup baby oatmeal
apple juice (about 1/2 cup) Use water if you prefer
Add cinnamon, nutmeg, dash of vanilla or other flavourings if you wish!
Mix all ingredients together and add enough juice to make pancake consistency. Cook on cook top in frying pan as with “regular” pancakes!
I also give her little bits of grated cheese and egg yolk. I hope that helps!
My daughter just had her 9 month checkup yesterday and the doctor said that eggs, despite all the hoopla, are fine. She likes waffles and bagels. I was going to try a bagel with cream cheese, just haven’t gotten to the store yet. I’m having the same problem. She is bored with her food, but doesn’t eat table foods well enough yet to cut out her foods out. She likes nutragrain bars. The other day I put it in her yougurt. I am going to start trying dipping foods like yougurt dips and such. She is very into tactile stilmulation and wants to pick her food up. If I start putting something in her mouth she tries to grab it out of my hands so she can put it in herself.
You could also try pancakes and put the fruit in them so they are more nutritious. Also, banana bread or corn muffins. You can put cream cheese on those. One little boy I used to watch lived on toast with cream cheese and jelly.
When i use to be a **** my mommi use to feed me healthy she use to boild potatoes, carrots and vegtable and smash them al together.. its really healthy if u want your kid to be in good shape…
